It doesn’t matter how good your product is, how good script you have for customers, how much discount you are giving & etc.

You won’t be able to close the deal until you know your customer & understand what they are looking for.

So here are 4 type of customers you will meet during sales:

1. Cheap customers

These is the type of people who are always looking out for the offers and consistently ask you to reduce the price of the product.

This people never care about what they are buying, they don’t care how useful your product is, if you offer them anything in a cheap price, they’ll buy.

Now you can’t always give offers just to get this type of customer to buy your product.

Instead you can keep specific time to deal with this people like festival season to offer them a deal.

2. Difficult customers

This type of people, who never care about the offers or how useful your product is.

These people are difficult because they are just negative — whatever you tell them, they’ll convert it into a negative point.

They are never satisfied in their life and never will be.

Some times these are the customers who just want to try things but don’t have money to buy.

So if your customer is saying no to buy the product doesn’t really mean they are saying no to your product or price, it’s just that they can’t afford, so let it go, if you don’t know the reason.

3. Smart customers

If you want to sale to this type of customers you need to know below things in detail:

  • Product
  • Today’s trend
  • Current affairs
  • You need common sense and humour
  • People skill

If you don’t know even one of this, you can not sale to smart customers, because they have a lot of questions for which they need satisfactory answer in a particular way, with particular manner.

But if you offer this, there is no reason why they can’t buy from you.

Remember, this type of customers sometimes won’t buy right now, they might need time to think, and they might reach to you even before you reach out and ask to buy.

So, don’t force them to get them buying right now.

There are times, when customer just walk in and buy thing and go, now in this type the customer have done a lot of research and have thought through. In this case, your walking in and making unnecessary talk might ruin the deal, if you are not skilled enough.

4. Emotional customers

To sale to these type of people you only need to have to talk like they matter the most and mean it.

Because they don’t care about product or its price, they are buying it because the feeling or story behind it.

That’s all, never sale to this people just talk to them and make them feel they are buying it for their purpose.

Still can’t sale

Now even if you know all this types of people and you are the most knowledgeable person, still if you can’t sale, that means you are trying to apply one trick to other type.

If you don’t know the person walked in fixed in which type, let them do the talking and you will know.

But most times you keep talking assuming you know everything, which upsets them the most.

Here, everything is fine except you are trying to apply the cheap customers formula on the emotional customers, here they might start thinking, if you giving offer means there is something wrong with the product.

Same with the other type of customers, so instead of assuming, just find out by letting customers talk first!!!
