How to create LinkedIn profile?

Today creating LinkedIn profile and showing up on LinkedIn itself counts much more to get a job.

Many people are there on LinkedIn but not being found by employers even if they are having more than enough skills.

So how can we make impact and being found by employers and let them know what we are?

Creating impressive profile on LinkedIn will help you do that. So now the question is how to create LinkedIn profile?

  • Profile picture and banner: people create LinkedIn profile but never at the picture thinking what others will think about it. Now this is the use mistake because employer wants to see how much presentable you are. How much confidence you have in yourself and your profile in picture and the banner will show that what exactly you are to which length you can go when it comes to the career growth and how serious this job is for you.
  • About: The about information is the summary of your current job which will help employee to see which area your working in right now.
  • Features: in the area of feature you can add links of your profile if you have website, and other social media link, YouTube channel link, and similar things that so that employer will know that you are the most active person on the Earth.
  • Past employers: if you are having only past employers name and your designation it’s not enough you have to give a complete summary of your last job so that employer will know what exactly you are doing in that job profile which area you are working in how many problems you have solved and which skills you have improved.
  • Skills: many people just randomly had skills so that that profile can be listed in the new job but when it comes to the interview they don’t have anything to say on that particular skill. So don’t add skills which you are not at least familiar with or if you are adding skills on your profile make sure you are either tend to learn those or learning in progress.

Now once your profile is ready the most important job is being active on LinkedIn.

How to be active on LinkedIn?

  • Post: if you are a busy person and can’t post daily then create a schedule weekly once or twice. In a post you can either add video photos quotes or document.
  • Article: very less people are reading articles today even though they have enough experience and knowledge to share with the world and there are many people who are trying to search for this knowledge and experience but because you are not posting it, no one will know.

The activity of yours will show employer in which area you are interested in, how much active you are, what all skills you are learning to grow in your career. I think this is enough to get a job because today no one wants a person with a particular skill and grow no more; today’s employer want a person who may have less skills but can grow anywhere and anyway they want.
